On Christmas Eve 2023, at about 8pm, Tristan Sherry, a 26-year-old Irish man from Finglas, and a second gunman entered Browne's Steakhouse on Main Street, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, where Jason Hennessy Snr, a 48-year-old Irish man from Corduff, was dining with about 30 family and friends. Sherry shot Hennessy Snr in the neck and upper body before being disarmed and beaten to death by members of the Hennessy group; Hennessy Snr died in hospital on 4 January 2024. In February 2025, the Special Criminal Court found Andrecut, Amah and Musueni guilty of murder and Kabangu, O'Brien and Brandon Hennessy guilty of violent disorder; Andrecut was sentenced to life imprisonment, Amah and Musueni to nine years each, and the violent disorder convicts to shorter terms.
