  A 36-year-old Congolese man, Mbuke Desire, was charged with threatening and abusive behaviour at Little Island train station in Cork on 17 March 2025. He appeared before Clover Hill District Court where Judge Miriam Walsh heard the case, and was released on therapeutic bail to receive mental health treatment at a Dublin hospital. After completing treatment, he was remanded back into custody for two weeks and listed for a mention at Cork City District Court on 3 September. He failed to appear, and Judge Michele Finan issued a bench warrant at Dublin District Court.
