  Martin Morgan, a man in his late fifties, was convicted by a jury in the Dublin Circuit Court on 22 February 2008 of running a brothel and organising prostitution in a Bachelors Walk apartment between August and October 2005, and was sentenced to three years' imprisonment and a €24,000 fine. A confiscation order of €243,583 was made but not paid, and in November 2020 the High Court issued a bench warrant for his arrest over alleged contempt. The Court of Appeal overturned the warrant in June 2022, and on 29 June 2023 the Supreme Court dismissed the DPP's appeal, holding the warrant should be quashed because Morgan was legally represented and notice was sufficient.
