  On August 6 (year not given), two gardaí saw Martin Killian (36) acting suspiciously with something in his hand at Cormac Street, Tullamore, County Offaly. When told he would be searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act, he put an item in his mouth, and gardaí recovered a wrap they believed to be heroin; the sources differ on whether he was arrested or charged at Tullamore Garda Station. At Tullamore District Court he pleaded guilty to possession of diamorphine and unlawful obstruction of gardaí, and two fines of €100 each were imposed, as reported on 6 October 2025. A separate theft allegation, from a Spar on Arden Road on November 28, 2023, is still to be sentenced when he appears on October 22.
