    A Donegal County Council employee issued Martin Joseph Griffin of Sessiaghoneill, Ballybofey, with a fixed charge penalty notice for parking on Navenny Street on 3 February 2022. The fine remained unpaid and Griffin appeared at Letterkenny District Court in December 2022. Judge Éiteáin Cunningham found the facts proven after Griffin, who said he was present by special appearance, objected to the proceedings. Griffin was fined €80 and ordered to pay costs of €138 to Donegal County Council.
