On March 9, 2023, Martin Grundza of Longford was observed in a large scuffle outside a takeaway on Main Street, Longford, at around midnight, and a sergeant said he was highly intoxicated. On March 19, gardaí stopped and searched him while he was on an e-scooter and found €25 of cannabis. He was arrested, taken to Longford Garda Station, and pleaded guilty at the local district court to a public order breach and cannabis possession. The judge fined him €100 with five months to pay, and the case was reported on November 2, 2025.
