Michael Barr, an Irish man aged 35, was shot seven times, five in the head, by two armed men wearing rubber masks at the Sunset House pub on Summerhill Parade, Dublin 1, on the night of 25 April 2016. Eamon Cumberton, an Irish man, was jailed for life in 2019; David Hunter, a British man aged 43, was convicted and jailed for life in 2020; and Christopher Slator, an Irish man aged 37, was convicted and sentenced to life in 2022. Martin Aylmer, an Irish man aged 33, pleaded guilty to facilitating the offence and received a six-year sentence. The Court of Appeal dismissed Hunter's appeal against his murder conviction on 15 June 2026.
