    Christopher McDonagh, 26, and Marilyn McDonagh, 26, both from Rochfortbridge, are accused of money laundering at Croi Laighean Credit Union in Edenderry and Birr Credit Union across 2016 to 2020. They appeared at Tullamore District Court on September 9, 2021, where the DPP directed they be sent for trial. Both were sent for trial at Tullamore Circuit Court on December 7, 2021, and legal aid was granted. A High Court injunction resulted in a freezing order on their credit union funds.
