• Limerick woman jailed for four years after beating and robbing 77-year-old pensioner Robbery · Co. Limerick

On 9 March 2025 at about 9.45pm, a 77-year-old man (almost 78 in one report) was attacked and robbed in his jeep on St Alphonsus Street, Limerick City, by Mandy Milstein, a 36-year-old woman, and an alleged male accomplice. Gardaí located the jeep a short time later and arrested Milstein on 10 March 2025 near where it was recovered. Milstein was charged at Limerick District Court and later pleaded guilty to robbery and to unlawful seizure of the jeep by force. On 31 December 2025, Judge Colin Daly at Limerick Circuit Court imposed concurrent five-year sentences with the final year suspended on both counts, a seven-year road ban, and backdating to March 2025; some reports headline this as four years.
