  James 'Jimmy' McKenna, 25, was struck by a car and killed at Ballynally, Moville, Co Donegal, at about 1.30am on 9 June 2024 while walking home with a friend after attending the Inishowen Vintage Show. Lynda O'Doherty, 67, of Greencastle, was charged with driving without due care and attention causing death and with drink driving. After multiple adjournments at Carndonagh District Court sitting in Buncrana, Judge Emile Daly refused jurisdiction in November 2025 and the case was sent to Letterkenny Circuit Court. O'Doherty pleaded guilty before Judge John Aylmer at Letterkenny Circuit Court on 19 May 2026, and the case was adjourned to October 2026 for sentencing with a probation report ordered. The drink-driving charge remains pending at Carndonagh District Court.
