    On 9 September 2024 Gardaí ran a mandatory intoxicant checkpoint at Mullolagher, Longford, where a roadside drug test on Lukius Lukosius, a 28-year-old man of Lisbrack Down, Longford, was positive. Lukosius pleaded guilty to drug driving at Longford District Court, where his solicitor said he had consumed cannabis before being stopped and was under a lot of stress. The court outcome was reported on 19 July 2025, when Judge Bernadette Owens imposed a €500 fine with six months to pay. The latest development is a one-year driving disqualification.
