Leon Travers, 25, from Mulhuddart, Dublin, was arrested for an alleged public order offence in October 2018 and subsequently bit a garda's hand, threw a fan at another garda, and threatened to have a bullet put in her head at Blanchardstown Garda Station and James Connolly Memorial Hospital. He also pleaded guilty to criminal damage from a September 2017 fight at Applegreen Service Station, for which he was on bail at the time of the 2018 incidents. In February 2022, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court sentenced him to 18 months' imprisonment, running consecutively for the 2017 and 2018 offences, suspended in its entirety after he was deemed unsuitable for community service.
