    On 10 April 2018, Janis Bukks, 34, rear-ended Diana Jakubovskaja's car in Longford. Kristina Mieliauskaite, 38, later claimed to be a backseat passenger in Jakubovskaja's car and brought a €60,000 personal injuries claim against Liberty Insurance, though gardaí found no passenger at the scene. All three non-Irish co-accused were charged with attempting to make gain or cause loss by deception and making false statements. At Longford Circuit Court in November 2024, Mieliauskaite was sentenced to two years in prison with the final nine months suspended, Jakubovskaja received a two-year suspended sentence, and Bukks was adjourned to the January sittings.
