Klaudia Zwolinska, a 23-year-old woman of no fixed abode, was arrested on 7 February 2024 in Tullamore, County Offaly, and charged with public order offences after an incident at Tullamore Garda Station. Sergeant Richard Thornton gave evidence that she was very intoxicated, had been living rough and had taken a substance, and that she became abusive when he dealt with her at the front desk. She failed to appear at the morning session, so Judge Andrew Cody issued a bench warrant; when she appeared in the afternoon she turned her back on the judge, said she was not guilty and refused to look at him. Judge Cody sentenced her to three months in prison, as reported on 27 February 2024.
