On 4 May 2023, a man named Kieran Conroy, 44, of Strabane, Northern Ireland, is alleged to have driven at excessive speed and without a licence or insurance at N15 Birchill, Donegal Town, and to have given gardaí a false name and address at the time. He is charged with these offences and with failing to produce his driving licence and insurance policy. Garda Gerard Curtis notified him of his court date in person, but he failed to attend Donegal District Court on 28 April 2025, and the judge agreed to amend the summons to his correct name and address. The case was adjourned to 23 June 2025.
