A man, Kevin Siewe Ngouambe, 28, was charged with unlawful possession of cocaine and having the drug for sale or supply after six kilos of suspected cocaine, worth over €420,000, were found in a silver BMW stopped on the M1 motorway at Mooremount, Dunleer, on 13 June 2022. The vehicle had been detected driving at 157kph by a member of the Roads Policing Unit. He is one of two men charged in connection with the drugs. He was remanded in custody with consent to bail at Dundalk District Court before Judge Michéle Finan, and the case was adjourned to 27 July 2022 for the directions of the DPP.
