  Kevin Shevlin Junior, a 47-year-old man from Hunterstown, Ardee, County Louth, had over 8,000 child sexual abuse images on two devices seized in a search of his home. The incident date is recorded as 2 February 2018, and the victim is recorded as a woman aged 8 to 13. He was arrested in December 2019 and pleaded guilty to possessing images on a laptop, with a further hard-drive count taken into consideration. The case was sent forward for trial in November 2021, and he entered a guilty plea the following June. At Dundalk Circuit Court in November 2025 he was jailed for 15 months.
