Kevin Harkin, 37, of Derry, pleaded guilty at Letterkenny Circuit Court to extorting €15,000 from Michelle and Mark Smyth with menaces. The offence took place on 22 April 2016 at Ture, Muff, County Donegal, under the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994.
