    Kenneth Liston, a 33-year-old man from Direen in Athea, was stopped by Gardaí at Colbert Station in Limerick City on 29 April 2020 and found to have €300 of cannabis, a weighing scale and 27 tablets on him. He was charged with possession of drugs and pleaded guilty at Kilmallock District Court. Judge Patricia Harney ordered a probation report and adjourned the case to 13 December 2022, noting he has 49 previous convictions. His solicitor told the court he has a drug problem.
