  Keith Kilroy, a man aged 51 or 52 depending on the report, is accused of stealing four charity buckets containing around €400 from Leavy's Centra on Henry Street, Tullamore, on 12 December 2023. He is charged with stealing the cash and with entering as a trespasser and causing criminal damage to the till, till drawers and a glass door pane. In December 2023, Judge Andrew Cody at Tullamore District Court remanded him on bail to 3 January 2024 with conditions. In July 2024 the judge listed a hearing for 24 July and remanded him on bail to that sitting, and the latest report says Kilroy is currently serving a sentence.

  Keith Kilroy, a 49-year-old man from Portlaoise, pleaded guilty to damaging a CCTV camera at Lavish Nails Spa on 2 February 2022 and smashing a window and taking a till containing €500 from The Bay Tree on 22 February 2022. He had 110 previous convictions and was in breach of a suspended sentence from a 2020 conviction. At Tullamore District Court, Judge Catherine Staines noted his long-standing heroin addiction and appalling record. He was sentenced to six months in Midlands Prison on 25 February 2022.
