Karina Cully, a 36-year-old woman from Ashbourne, Co Meath, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to diverting €629,000 from her employer's small office supplies company to her own bank account over more than seven years between 2014 and 2021. She also forged documents related to a mortgage application, including an inflated salary statement and a reference. Her employer contacted her after suspicions were aroused about certain payments, and she made full admissions to the unauthorised transfers.
