• Gardaí investigating suspected murder-suicide in Finglas Murder (suspected) · Co. Dublin

  A Polish man, Krzysztof Daczkowski, 50, and his five-year-old daughter Julia Daczkowska were found dead at their home on Heathfield Terrace in the Cappagh area of Finglas, Co Dublin, on Saturday 27 September 2025. The child's mother discovered both bodies when she returned home from work shortly before 8pm, and Gardaí were called to the scene. Gardaí suspect the father strangled his daughter in her bedroom before taking his own life, and are treating the deaths as a suspected murder-suicide. Post-mortem examinations of both bodies have been completed, and the investigation is continuing at Finglas Garda Station.
