    Patrick Kane, 28, of Arden View, Tullamore, allegedly assaulted Josh Mills at Hayes Cross, Tullamore on 15 November 2022, with a kick to the head resulting in a chipped bone. At Tullamore Circuit Court, Judge Andrew Cody refused jurisdiction after the DPP directed the matter could be disposed of summarily in District Court. The case was adjourned to 15 February 2023 for the DPP to consider trial by indictment. Kane's defending solicitor, Donal Farrelly, said Kane will plead not guilty.
