On 6 May 2025, gardaí stopped a vehicle in the Galvone area of Limerick and found cannabis worth €30,000, before a follow-up search at a unit at Galvone Industrial Estate, a church, and a residential address recovered a further €350,000 of cannabis, €150,000 of cocaine, approximately €30,000 in cash, and close to 200 rounds of ammunition. Three men, Wesley Ryan (47), Jonathan Morey (34), and Charlie Robinson (45), were arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996. They were charged at Limerick District Court on 9 May 2025 with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Judge Patricia Harney granted bail to all three on strict conditions, including daily sign-on at Henry Street Garda Station and surrender of passports, with a next appearance set for 26 September for DPP directions.
