On June 13, 2022, at about 1:50pm, an employee at Grafters Hair in Longford town found a man in a first-floor corridor who said he was looking for a toilet, and CCTV showed him trying several doors in the building. John Paul Conway, a 43-year-old man from Longford, was arrested and charged with trespass to commit an offence and failing to keep a court appointment. He pleaded guilty to burglary at court, with his solicitor telling the judge he had no intention to steal anything. The judge sentenced him to five months, backdated to March 14, and suspended a three-month consecutive sentence for failing to keep a court appointment for 12 months.
