At around 5am on 6 June 2025, six rounds were fired from a sawn-off shotgun at the home of Willie Doran, 20, and Joe Crawford, 17, at Altamira Court, Thomondgate, Limerick, following tensions and a night of drinking and drugs, causing damage to an exterior wall but no injuries. brothers Roy Roche, 35, and Pa Roche, 33, both of Cliona Park, Moyross, were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and criminal damage. The brothers pleaded guilty at Limerick Circuit Court in October 2025. In December 2025, Roy Roche was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment and Pa Roche to six years, a combined total of 14 years.
