latest first- Gardaí confirm no referral received on Epstein Files Ireland trafficking claims Human trafficking
On 10 February 2026, Irish media reported that Gardaí had received no referral or formal complaint about claims in the Epstein Files that a woman was a victim of human trafficking involving Jeffrey Epstein. The claims come from an email, allegedly sent to an FBI official, which says the woman was taken from Ireland to Jeffrey Epstein Island at age 13 and moved to Fresno, California, after an incident at age five. Gardaí said they were making enquiries, may contact the FBI, and would respond in due course. The FBI has warned that some claims may be false, and Labour TD Duncan Smith has called on the Taoiseach to launch an investigation, which remains unresolved.
