latest first- Three given adult caution over public order offences at Oriel Park Public order offences and assault · Co. Louth
Five people associated with Dundalk Football Club were summoned over an incident at Oriel Park on 18 October 2024, following a 2-0 loss to Derry City in the League of Ireland Premier Division. Jason McConville (37), Andrew Connolly (60), Ava Connolly (20) and John Temple were each charged with threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour, with McConville also accused of assault. Dundalk district court dealt with three of the accused by way of adult caution, while Judge Nicola Andrews struck out John Temple's summons unconditionally after he paid €500 to the North Louth Hospice. A fifth person is contesting the public order offence and two counts of alleged assault, with that case due to be heard in May.
