  James Martin, a 32-year-old man from Derreen, Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, was summonsed over offences committed on 27 August 2023 on Bridge Street, Tullamore, Co Offaly, which involved abusive behaviour towards gardaí. The charges were failing to provide his name and address to Garda Ciaran Ryan, intoxication in a public place, and threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He pleaded guilty to the intoxication and threatening charges at the September 20 sitting of Tullamore District Court, where the sergeant said he had no previous convictions.
