James Connors, 35, of Tallaght, Dublin, was arrested after offering a 14-year-old girl €1,000 for sex in a Dublin suburb on June 6, 2021. He approached the girl while she was sitting in a hotel waiting for her mother and told her he would give her €1,000 after they had 'made love'. After the girl ran away and told her mother, Connors punched and kicked the mother in a nearby park while trying to escape. He pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, and Judge Martin Nolan jailed him for two years on February 13, 2024.
