Jake Finney, a 19-year-old man from Blessington, County Wicklow, threatened to kill a person at a property in Blessington on 31 October 2020 and assaulted a person while producing a knife during a fight at Dempsey's Lane, Blessington, on 13 November 2020. He pleaded guilty to the assault and knife production charges at Naas District Court on 1 December 2022, and the threat-to-kill charge was initially dropped. After Finney left the courtroom and failed to return for a second calling, Judge Joanne Carroll reinstated the threat-to-kill charge and adjourned the case to 13 April 2023 for a probation report.
