  Jaime Healy, a 36-year-old man, was sentenced on 22 February 2022 at Cork Circuit Criminal Court to two years in prison with the final six months suspended after pleading guilty to possessing 1,834 images and 91 video files of child pornography found on two phones at a property in Gurranabraher, Cork. The material, including 386 Category 1 images and 81 Category 1 videos, was discovered over three years up to October 2018 after a warrant search prompted by the Garda National Protective Services Bureau. On the same day, a jury at the Central Criminal Court acquitted Healy of raping his wife at their family home in Leinster in July 2018.
