Daniel Bowker, 40, and Ibrar Sharif, 47, both English men, were arrested in Dublin three days before Christmas 2022 after being caught unloading cannabis concealed under a consignment of frozen chicken at Kilmainham, Dublin 8. Gardaí seized 119 kilos of cannabis worth €2.364 million from 12 cardboard boxes at a house in Kilmainham. The men pleaded guilty in the District Court to possessing the cannabis for sale or supply. Judge Orla Crowe adjourned the case to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for sentencing on October 9th, ordering an education report and a prison governor's report.
