Cases
latest first- High Court grants permission for injunction over trespass at Graiguecullen Trespass (illegal occupation of land) · Co. Laois
Over 40 caravans and more than 150 people are allegedly trespassing on lands owned by Salzagold Limited at Graiguecullen, Co Laois, which the company says are earmarked for a housing development. The occupiers first entered the site earlier in July 2022, following a previous illegal occupation in March 2022, and are alleged to have started large fires, dumped refuse, and engaged in anti-social behaviour. Salzagold Limited brought High Court proceedings seeking an injunction, naming Hugh Doyle as a spokesperson for the group. On 23 July 2022, Mr Justice Brian O'Moore granted ex-parte permission to serve short notice of the injunction, with the action set to return before the courts the following week.
