A couple, Hayley Kenny, 26, and David Leigh, 34, from County Kilkenny, were accused of possessing suspected cannabis worth an estimated €20,000 after their car crashed on the M7 on 14 February 2023. Gardaí charged the pair with possession of drugs with intent to sell or supply, and Mr Leigh also faced a charge of dangerous driving. The couple appeared before Naas District Court on 16 November 2023, where Judge Desmond Zaidan sent them forward for trial to the Naas Circuit Criminal Court, with sittings beginning 16 January 2024. Both defendants were remanded on continuing bail.
