latest first- Man arrested in Spain over murder of Iranian hitman in Coolock Murder · Co. Dublin
On 28 May 2019, Hamid Sanambar, an Iranian man aged 41, was shot dead in the garden of Sean Little's home on Kilbarron Avenue, Coolock, Dublin, during Little's wake. Sean Little, an Irish man aged 22, had been murdered a week earlier, and Sanambar was suspected of organising that killing as part of the Coolock feud. Three men in their 20s were arrested in north Dublin on 15 November 2021, and the chief suspect, an Irish man from Artane, was identified after a burner phone was recovered. The suspect, who had been living in Spain, handed himself in to gardaí in north Dublin on 14 December 2021. In July 2024, the suspect was arrested on the Costa del Sol in Spain on foot of an extradition request, and the DPP has ordered he be charged with murder.
