Hamed Azeez, a 53-year-old man of Tallaght, Dublin, was convicted at the Central Criminal Court of raping and sexually assaulting two girls, the daughters of his partner, at locations in County Dublin between 2013 and 2015. The first girl was aged six to eight and the second was aged eight to 10 at the time. Following a trial in March, Ms Justice Eileen Creedon jailed Azeez for 11 years on 22 July 2024, with concurrent terms, and ordered that he be registered as a sex offender. Azeez does not accept the verdict and maintains his innocence.
