Grigorijus Sibika, 53, of Longford, fell through the front door of the public office at Longford garda station on 7 September 2023, shortly after 9:30pm, while attempting to sign on as part of his bail conditions. He was charged with being intoxicated in public contrary to section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994. His solicitor said he had a small drink which reacted with medication and had not intentionally set out to cause a disturbance. He pleaded guilty at Longford District Court, and Judge Bernadette Owens fined him €100 with four months to pay, as reported on 12 October 2023.
