    On 16 December 2019, a brawl broke out at The Tipsy Cow pub on Church Street, Dundalk, after the publican poured three men's drink away, leading to an assault on the publican in which bar stools and glasses were broken. Gerard Agnew, 53, Sean McDonald, 44, and Shane Malone, 54, each pleaded guilty to assault causing harm, with charges of violent disorder taken into consideration. The three men were sentenced at Dundalk Circuit Court in May 2026, receiving suspended sentences and community service orders.
