Garda Alan Murphy was responding to reports of a stabbing in Inchicore, Dublin 8, on 30 March 2020 when he was attacked by the Quinn brothers. Gavin Quinn, 28, pinned the officer to the ground while his brother Lee Quinn, 27, slashed him across the head with a six-inch kitchen knife.
