Frank Gaynor, a man, and his wife Sylvia were the subject of a contempt of court claim brought by Fingal County Council over unauthorised buildings at Drishoge Manor, Oldtown, north Co Dublin. The council obtained an order in April 2023 requiring removal of three timber cabins, a driveway and parking area, electrical works and a gateway closure, and the dispute dates back to 2020. On 26 February 2026 at Dublin Circuit Court, Judge John O'Connor warned Gaynor he could go to prison if he did not agree a compliance timeframe with the council, and adjourned the case to 6 March 2026. The latest development is a property inspection scheduled for the following Wednesday at 11am, to be carried out by council staff accompanied by Gardaí.
