• Man admits Tullamore Tesco alcohol theft, faces jail unless he compensates store Theft · Co. Offaly

Florian Zahar, a 24-year-old man, admitted stealing €249.50 worth of alcohol and bags from the Tesco store in Cloncollig, Tullamore, County Offaly, on 9 March 2026. Three men entered the store, took bags without paying, concealed bottles of alcohol in the off-licence section and left past all points of payment. At Tullamore District Court, Judge Andrew Cody said he would impose a 21-day sentence unless Tesco was compensated by 20 May, and Zahar said he would reimburse the store as soon as possible. The latest reported development is that order, published on 20 May 2026; the reports do not say whether compensation was paid.
