  Gardaí allege that Finbar O'Hagan, 55, threatened to kill his aunt and her son in March and April 2023 at Bawnogues, Straffan, in a dispute over probate, and that he became violent when two gardaí called to interview him. The allegations include taking his aunt's mobile phone and throwing it on the ground, and trying to set a dog on the gardaí. He was charged with alleged assault and making threats to kill, and on 26 February 2025 at Naas District Court the case was forwarded for trial to Naas Circuit Court. Bail was granted on condition that he does not enter property or land at Bawnogues, and his defence solicitor said he does not accept the allegations.
