Fiachra Slator, a 40-year-old man, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to possession of cannabis, DMT, and cocaine at his home in Clondalkin and at a rented outhouse in Straffan, Co Kildare, as well as money laundering in relation to €125,110 found at his mother's home. The offences occurred on 14 April 2022, when cannabis and cocaine valued at €85,000 were found concealed in car engines and batteries at the outhouse, along with bagging material, weighing scales, and a blender. Slator was arrested and made admissions. Judge Martin Nolan departed from the ten-year mandatory minimum and imposed a six-year sentence backdated to when Slator went into custody.
