    Farah Damji, 55, a Ugandan-born woman, absconded during her trial at Southwark Crown Court in London in February 2020 after being convicted in her absence of twice breaching a restraining order granted to two males in 2018. She was arrested in Dublin in August 2020 on a European arrest warrant, and the High Court ordered her extradition in January 2022. The Supreme Court dismissed her appeal in June 2022, and a bench warrant was issued after she failed to appear at the High Court. She was arrested at a property in rural Co Galway on 10 August 2022 and remanded in custody at the High Court in Dublin pending her extradition to the UK.
