    On 21 February 2022, Evelina Muraskauskaite, 38, drove off from Fitzpatrick's Garage in Kildare town without paying for fuel worth €53.99, and no violence was used. She pleaded guilty before Judge Desmond Zaidan at Naas District Court on Thursday 25 July 2024. Judge Zaidan imposed an eight-month custodial sentence, activated with immediate effect, and set an appeal figure of €250. Kildare Now reported the sentence on 27 July 2024, and it is the latest development in the case.
