    Evan McMorrow, a 20-year-old man from Killeenmore, Killeigh, Co Offaly, was charged with road traffic offences, including driving without reasonable consideration on the N80 at Killeigh on September 18, 2024, and a TikTok post on his account about a Tullamore garda, Patrick McGee, was described in court as degrading. He pleaded guilty to the road traffic matters, and reports from October 2025 said Tullamore District Court sentenced him to three months' imprisonment, a ten-year driving disqualification and a €5,000 fine. He appealed the severity of the penalties, and a Tullamore Circuit Court hearing reported in February 2026 heard that 240 hours of community service could replace the prison term. The appeal was adjourned to June 4 for a report on whether he is suitable for community service.
