A former RTÉ 2FM DJ, Nikki Hayes (real name Eimear Black O'Keeffe, 44, a woman), had €15,000 from a man's account paid into her account in November 2020, with the sums withdrawn through Revolut and ATM transactions in Liffey Valley over the next 24 hours. She was arrested and interviewed the following March and co-operated fully with gardaí. On 25 October 2023 she pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to possessing €10,000 as the proceeds of crime, with two further counts of €2,600 and €2,400 taken into consideration. The judge adjourned the case for finalisation until the following Thursday.
