Mark Cullen, a 39-year-old father of three from Shankill, was shot in the leg at Patrician Park on Kill Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, on Sunday 5 July 2026 and died at the scene. A man in his 40s was arrested in September 2026 and released without charge, with a file to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Edward Andrews, a 32-year-old man from Wicklow town, was arrested on 13 October 2026 and charged with Cullen's murder on 16 October.
