    On 24 April 2022, Gardaí stopped and searched a car at Sallins, Kildare, with two men inside, and a follow-up search at a separate site allegedly found a mix of cocaine and cannabis worth over €25,000. The suspects are Jamie Byrne, 30, of Sallins, and Edmund Geraghty, 66, of Castlefen, both men. The pair appeared at Naas District Court on 2 June 2022. Judge Desmond Zaidan sent them forward for trial by jury at the Circuit Court beginning 21 June 2022.
